good times. good times. you ever have those days where everything is dropping into place? having one of those. oh, by the way, I Did it!! i sent out responses to all of the requests in that basket. felt so good, until i saw a smaller bag tucked in the corner with about 20 more in it. oops… tomorrow! tomorrow!

Block

So… what kind of block is it when you won’t send an autograph. I have requests from over a year ago. They sit in this bag. Every week I say, I need to send these out… and every week I don’t and feel horrible about it. So this is my thought. I will post this picture and embarrass myself into actually doing this tomorrow. ha ha! Let’s see if it works.

Of course, if it does work I’ll be tempted to use this blog as a way to get myself to do other things… like quit eating cupcakes for breakfast.

O.k. so here’s the thing. If you don’t know about Ira Glass then you are in for a treat. Check out his radio show, This American Life. If you’re like me then you are addicted to it and have already backtracked through most of the episodes on the podcast. His team is the best. Simply the best. They’ve won a ton of awards to prove it, but it won’t take that to impress you. Just listen in, you’ll be hooked.

So, being the fan that I am, when I stumbled upon his clip on you tube about storytelling I was stoked. And just like the show, I wasn’t disappointed. I listened to all four sections and the next day I listened again. As I listened I was impressed again by his talent for simplifying things. It made me want to be creative, to get out there, to be brave, to be myself, to work hard and to know that failure is always going to be part of the process.

All that from four little You Tube clips! Pretty good Ira. ;)

Parry Shen! Tomorrow he will be working his directorial magic on the final episodes of “The Kid’s Table”. We are in the process of getting our voice recordings done for this animation project. Soon we will start on the artwork!
